St. Martin & St. Mary Church of England School

We have close links with Staveley School, which is just next door to St. James' Church, and with St. Martin & St. Mary School in Windermere.

Our team visit schools weekly to lead worship either for the whole school or in classes. We also offer opportunities throughout the year for curriculum enrichment through visits to church and volunteers going into school for RE lessons and more.

During Lent each year we support schools by offering Experience Easter, an opportunity to experience the Easter story like never before. With the help of our fantastic, talented, DBS-checked team, we retell the story of Easter for children in Year 5 from across the region.

We gather Year 6 in the summer for a special transition day, 'Moving On'. The children and staff really enjoy having space and time to think about and reflect on the journey through Primary School as they get ready to move on to Secondary School.
